At level one you can choose two different "Professions" for your character. The ones you pick at first give you a +1 bonus to those rolls. You will gain "Adventure Points" everytime you succesfully complete a noncombat challenge. You can spend those points to increase the potency of your professions or train in new ones.

There is no set chart yet on how many points you get or how much it costs to upgrade your profession (ideas are welcome).

Here is the list of ones you can choose from, the column on the left is what results you are looking for when you make a roll.

Professions
Acrobatics- Maneuver
Athletics- Melee
Brawn- Melee
Endurance- Saves
History- Magic
Precision- Missle
Stealth- Maneuver
Thievery- Missle
Willpower- Saves
