• Event Submission begins on January 10, 2014.
• Pre-Registration for badges starts on January 26 (noon EST).
• Hotel Registration starts on January 28 (noon EST).
• GenCon is August 14-17, 2014.

So start letting us know what events you want to play. If you want to volunteer to help us, also let us know.

Was anything this last year a bust? (sealed teams...)

Was anything that you really wanted to see missing?

Our sealed events always seem to be better attended than our constructed events. Would you be willing to sacrifice something like single race or no magicians for a sealed event? Maybe we could do a draft event?

Here's the deal: We'd like to have all the possible events (anything that anyone comes up with), and then post a vote for the top 9 events. We would put up the vote on December 20, and cut off the vote by January 5.

Note: If Cliff or I can't understand your event, it will not run. Sorry, but we have to know what the event is. So a good (short) description is a necessity. And by short, GenCon wants the event description under 300 characters.

Thoughts? Wild Events? Volunteers to run the events?

Edited the post to fill in the details. We are going to run the following 4 hour time slots:

Thursday Afternoon
Thursday Evening
Friday Morning
Friday Afternoon
Friday Evening
Saturday Morning
Saturday Afternoon
Saturday Evening
Sunday Morning

We will be running Novice tournaments at least 3 times every day (except Sunday, only 2). We are thinking about running Daemon Diceâ„¢ Novice tournaments as well at least twice a day.

I think we have to run 9 Dragon Diceâ„¢ events, but in addition to the Daemon Diceâ„¢ Novice, I think we could run at least one Daemon Diceâ„¢ event a day if not 9. Lets wait and see what the submissions are.

I believe you have to include Battlefest, Constructed, Single Race, and Worlds (also Constructed), as well as a sealed event. I like the idea of a "Constructed Starter" event to encourage the newer players to try another event with only a modest inventory of dice.

I have some other ideas (scenarios, really), but I need to develop them further before I'm confident enough to propose it as an event.
