OK, c'mon. I know Joe started a new job, and wasn't available, but where were all the Colorado Springs players?? Without you, Robert (aka Pelter Boy) was able to become WORLD CHAMPION, for Pete's sake!! How could you do this to me? (Oh, wait, I know the answer to that one.)

Funny, but they just lost heart about going when they found out that I couldn't make it. But hey, with this new job I can actually afford to go next year and not get in trouble with the missus.

Okay, I'm the only guy with a van, and they didn't want to drive separate cars... Confused

So where were all the DD veterans that were waiting to challenge me after Origins last year?

Wait till next year. We'll be there.

Cheers!

Well Steve and I were stuck in the booth during World Championships. Evil or Very Mad And Brad got sick (just what did Robert have to do with that, I wonder Mr. Green ). So the finals came down to two Braun boys and my friend Jim Rayborn.

Be honest, Chuck-we were stuck in the booth from 10 AM to 6 PM, Thursday to Saturday, and from 10-12 on Sunday (before the meeting). Plus, you had to cover Sunday 2-4 without me, since I had to leave. We could have used more help. (John Koslow ran every event except the three evening Novices, which I did.)

That said, I still enjoyed myself immensely. I should have kept track of how many demos I ran, but it was pretty much non-stop from about 10:30 to 5: 30 each day. Robert also covered a couple of demos (so I could walk my daughter around the con-she is becoming a little game geek already!). And there was the Thursday night Novice event, which will go down in DD history. I'll say more about that when I get the picture off my camera...

The big plus is that we were able to introduce and re-introduce the game to a lot of people. We even had players who demoed Thursday, entered a Novice event, and then entered a regular event! There's a lot of potential out there for our game...

And Brad got sick

Yeah, and I'm still not out of the woods yet, though I am feeling a bit better tonight. If I hadn't gotten sick, you can be sure I'd have given pelter boy a tough time (I did beat him in the qualifying round, didn't I?).

Maybe next year move the Worlds to a Friday/Saturday schedule instead of a Saturday/Sunday schedule?

Anyway, congratulations to everyone. Hopefully I'll stay healthier next year Embarassed
