Yikes! Great... double maneuvers. :/

Just curious
Spearer: 4 Bullseye
Spearer: 4 Bullseye

Medusa: 4 Maneuver
Spearer: 3 Missile
Spearer: 3 ID

So I gather you count 3 ID as maneuvers, 7 maneuvers doubles to 14, converts to missile, plus the regular 3 is 17 missiles? Since you are rolling for missiles, don't you have to count the IDs as missile results and not maneuvers?

Bullseye:
Fireshadow: 4 fly

Woohoo! Protected against 4 damage, so he only takes 4. Fireshadow dies.

17 (or 14?) damage:
Remorhaz: 4 ID
Remorhaz: 1 swallow
Bear Master: 2 melee
Bear Master: 3 ID
Gold Medallion: 4 Sortie

11 defense.

I don't really have a choice on what to lose, I will lose 2 (or 1) bear masters.


This is going to be a fast game...

Right I counted the ID as maneuvers.

IDs count for whatever result you want them to.

Everything to Reserves.

Whoa wait a minute, How come I can't be rolling for maneuver results if my manuevers count as missiles?

Also is there a difference at an 8th face? I've seen this done countless times. (By me mostly...but others as well)

Maneuvers count as missiles, but you're not making any sort of maneuvering roll. You are rolling for missiles. I believe it's the same for an 8th face. If you're not rolling for a specific result, you can't choose IDs as that result. I don't know if previously it was done wrong or differently...

Right I just reread that but how come the results I'm rolling for can't me maneuvers?


@ Dolus feel free to take your turn. I'm just trying to understand the ruling. Totally don't care if it only kills the 1 unit.

The part about "...they always count as whatever results you are rolling for, but only those results you are rolling for." So if you are rolling for missile, IDs count as missile, and only missile. Nothing else. Most likely you are confused by combination rolls like dragon attack. Then you are rolling for melee, missile, and saves. So you make each point of IDs count as any one of those three things as you want. But you can't make your IDs count as maneuvers during a dragon attack. It's not what you are rolling for.
